Eredità signifie en italien héritage. Sur le fil entre tradition, compositions personnelles et arrangements, le duo Nisia interprète également quelques morceaux qui lui sont parvenus grâce au travail de chercheurs passionnés. Ce travail qui a permis de préserver un répertoire qui aurait été perdu, une source d'inspiration immense. De tout cela est fait « Nisia »: de la mémoire d'un peuple; de chants qui viennent de loin, d'histoires de migrations, de travail, de voyages, de berceuses et des invitations à la fête, pour célébrer la Vie. La sobriété de l'instrumentation nous offre un chemin direct vers l'émotion la plus pure. L'intervention de Massimo Laguardia (percussions) et Pablo Golder (accordéon diatonique) ouvrant encore les couleurs sonores de cet album. Nous sommes allés puiser aussi profond qu'il nous était possible, nous avons élancé nos branches vers le ciel. Ce que nous avons récolté, nous voulons simplement le partager, parce que c'est le sens même de la musique.

Eredità in Italian means legacy. On the edge between tradition, personal compositions and arrangements, the duo Nisia also interprets a few tunes that have reached it thanks to the work of passionate researchers. This work, that helped them to preserve a repertoire that otherwise would have been lost, is an immense source of inspiration for their own compositions. That is what "Nisia" is made of: of the memory of a people, of songs that come from far, of tales of migration, of work, of journeys, of lullabies and invitations to the feast to celebrate life. The simplicity of the instrumentation opens a straight path to the purest emotion. The intervention of Massimo Laguardia (percussion) and Pablo Golder (diatonic accordion) add more tone colours to this album. We drew as deep as possible, we threw our branches up into the sky. What we harvested we simply want to share it because that is the very meaning of music.

Eredità is het Italiaans woord voor ‘erfenis’. Balancerend tussen traditie, persoonlijke composities en arrangementen, interpreteert Nisia ook enkele melodieën die behouden zijn gebleven dankzij het werk van gepassioneerde onderzoekers. Dit repertoire is een enorme bron van inspiratie geweest voor hun eigen composities. ‘Nisia’ is gevormd door deze erfenis : door het geheugen van een volk, door nummers die van ver komen, door verhalen over migratie, werk, reizen, slaapliedjes en feestelijke uitnodigingen om het leven te vieren. De eenvoud van instrumenten maakt het mogelijk te komen tot de meest pure en zuivere emoties. De klank van Massimo Laguardia (percussie) en Pablo Golder (diatonische accordeon) voegen nieuwe kleuren toe aan dit album. We daalden zo diep mogelijk af, we hebben onze takken tot in de hemel uitgespreid. Wat we geoogst hebben, willen we gewoon delen, want dat is de betekenis van de muziek.
